Upon arriving at Regents Park Christian School, PM Julia Gillard was greeted by the principal Gary Brummell along with school captains from the high school and primary department. As Gillard was introduced to the school during lunchtime, students cheered as she entered the basketball court. The school prefects, captains and staff are taking Ms Gillard and her assistants on a
tour of the school at the moment. (Update: We can now confirm that the Prime Minister met briefly with students in the playground but quickly retreated to the ministerial meeting rooms in preparation for the Community Cabinet). There is also a fair media presence at Regents Park Christian School along with nearly 50 police officers providing security for tonight's Community Cabinet meeting.
